Galaxsee Tasco 500×114mm reflector telescope?
I have a good telescope Morining details are 500×114 Telescope Type: Reflector Diameter Objective: 114mm Focal Length: 1000 mm Focal ratio: 9 Installation: 1 equatorial Barlow: 2X interchangeable eyepieces (1.25) MA20 (50X), MA10 (100X), does anyone know what should be be able to do with it? I have no idea how to use it, it came with a CD of 10,000 observation posts but its so easy to use, everyone here enough Pro to tell me what I should be able to see with this scope, or any Web site that can tell me what I can see … thanks for your help
This is similar to my first telescope. With him, I could see the moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, many double stars, and over 50 deep sky objects, most often open and globular clusters, but also some diffuse and planetary nebulae and galaxies. This is a beginner telescope OK. There are a number of books you help you learn to use their reach and find these things with him. Try Nightwatch by Terence Dickinson (Firefly), turn left at Orion by Consolmagno and Davis (Cambridge) and Star Watch by Phil Harrington, (Wiley). Joining a local astronomy club can also help, because clubs typically hold observing sessions in which more mebers experience to help beginners to find things in the sky. A tip. Do not bother with a 10 mm eyepiece or Barlow lenses because they are usually undesirable. The instructions that come with Tasco telescopic sight are often misspelled.
